Last updated: September 2026
This notice explains what personal data we collect through this website, why we collect it, how long we keep it and what your rights are under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Who we are
Garden Rooms is responsible (the "controller") for the personal data described in this notice. You can contact us about anything in this notice by email at [email protected] or by phone or WhatsApp on +40 757 340 863.
What we collect
- Details you give us in the contact form or the configurator: your name, email address, phone number (if given), county, preferred timeline and your message.
- Details of the project you are planning: intended use, size, modules and any notes you add.
- The language you chose on the site.
- If you call, email or message us on WhatsApp, the details contained in that conversation.
Why we use it
We do not sell your data, we do not add you to marketing lists and we do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling.
- To reply to your enquiry and prepare a quote or proposal: this is a step taken at your request before a possible contract (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)).
- To keep a record of our correspondence and to improve our service: our legitimate interest in running the business (Article 6(1)(f)).
- To meet legal obligations, for example accounting and tax records if you become a customer (Article 6(1)(c)).
Who receives it
These providers act on our instructions and may only use the data to provide their service to us. Where data is processed outside the European Economic Area, this is covered by appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
- Our website hosting and database provider, which stores form submissions on our behalf.
- Our email delivery provider, which forwards form submissions to our inbox.
- WhatsApp (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.), only if you choose to message us on WhatsApp. Their own privacy policy applies to that service.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to an order are deleted 24 months after our last contact with you. If you become a customer, we keep project and invoice records for as long as the law requires (normally six years for accounting purposes) and for the duration of any warranty.
Your rights
To use any of these rights, email us. We will reply within one month. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission in Ireland (www.dataprotection.ie) or with the supervisory authority in the EU country where you live.
- Access: ask for a copy of the data we hold about you.
- Rectification: ask us to correct inaccurate data.
- Erasure: ask us to delete your data where we no longer need it.
- Restriction and objection: ask us to limit or stop using your data.
- Portability: receive your data in a common electronic format.
